Using the Fan Chart Feature on FamilySearch to find Stories of our Ancestors
On FamilySearch, the fan chart is especially useful for finding your ancestors’ stories because it organizes all the information you already have in your Family Tree and shows it in a colorful, circular layout.
The fan chart can be organized by family lines, countries, sources, stories, photos, research helps, and ordinances. This can be a great tool for finding your ancestor's stories.
Simply pick stories from the list of ways to organize your fan chart.
The colors represent the number of stories tied to your ancestor.
Click on an ancestor and head over to their profile.
Click on memories.
Look through the memories others have posted. It is amazing what you can learn about your ancestor from this simple feature.
